Marketing Specialist

Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Reports to: President

RPC is an economic and public policy consulting firm based in Austin Texas that prepares studies for litigation and regulatory proceedings in Texas and many other states. Our clients are primarily attorneys: personal injury litigators for plaintiffs and defendants, commercial litigators and health lawyers.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for RPC’s marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of an integrated marketing strategy. We market to prospective clients primarily through email, direct mail, website presence and paid search. The Marketing Specialist's job is to acquire new clients and reach revenue targets.

Marketing Director Responsibilities

  • Update and improve marketing plan and budget
  • Generate analytics on all marketing activities showing activity and results with intelligible management reports. Report marketing activity and results on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the website including design, content, and search engine optimization on all devices
  • Create and implement targeted direct mail/email campaigns to attorney audiences
  • Manage digital advertising through paid search and social media presence
  • Update and maintain a prospect database of attorneys with accurate firm names, mailing addresses and email addresses
  • Create frequent blog posts and white papers to showcase RPC capabilities and improve website SEO
  • Create advertising and directory listings for legal publications
  • Create and select promotional materials for events and direct mail.
  • Exhibit at continuing legal education and other events (mainly in Texas)


  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years marketing experience with planning and budget responsibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in digital and direct mail marketing
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google AdWords
  • Experience in marketing professional services
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML and WordPress


Consultant (CPA)

Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Reports to: President

Research & Planning Consultants, LP, (“RPC”) is a firm based in Austin, Texas, that was founded in 1972. RPC prepares economic, statistical and financial reports used in litigation and regulatory proceedings for a national clientele. In commercial litigation, the firm has special expertise in the health care sector, but prepares reports on a wide range of industries. RPC prepares reports on economic damages for plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation.

RPC has an opening for a consultant who is licensed as a certified public accountant in the State of Texas to provide accounting expertise for RPC reports. The type of prior experience most applicable to this position would be in litigation support or audit. The consultant should have strong quantitative and writing skills, and should have experience in analyzing the accounting records of many types of organizations. Experience working with the accounting data of health care providers and health plans is very desirable. The position does not require the consultant to serve as an expert witness, but RPC values such experience. CFF designation a plus.

Additionally, the job requires

(1) the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

(2) the ability to meet tight deadlines

(3) the ability to work with attorneys, clinicians, and other RPC consultants

Though several of the firm’s full-time employed consultants work from home offices in other cities, the duties of this position require the consultant live in the Austin area and work from the firm’s office. RPC pays competitive salaries with a potential annual bonus based on the performance of the consultant and the firm.  RPC offers a full benefit package including paid leave, health insurance, 401(k) plan, health savings account, and flexible spending account.
